Transeurope program, The Finnish Museum Of Photography. Workshop leader i Stockholm.

Transeurope program starts with training sessions. During three months will be 14 preparatory portfolio workshops with the collaboration of renown international centers. Each workshop will be a One—Day training with an inscription of 20 euro. These sessions become a space for the exchange of knowledge. A recognised expert will share his/her advices and tricks of the trade with participants. The professionals compose a diversified offer to get the best individual portfolio. Each partner will act as leader in the countries that comprise their area of influence:

Euromare: Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Romania and Serbia
The Finnish Museum Of Photography: Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania and Sweden. Fundación Contemporánea: France, Italy, Portugal and Spain.

The purpose of the workshop is to give participants confidence in presenting their work, such as portfolio reviews. Contributors will in group show their work and get advice from Susanne Fessé to help develop their review and prepare the best portfolio in text and images.

The workshop focuses on the actual conditions of a portfolio review. That is, how much time is available? Who gives criticism / response? What image selection should be shown? How important is a well-prepared text description? What narrative does the photographer presents in his work?

Participants prepare the workshop by writing a project description, an artist statement and questions for the workshop meeting. Susanne Fessé will send out checklists a few weeks before workshop to help participants prepare the written text.
